PHYSIO@HOME TORONTO is a home visit physiotherapy service, offered in the general Toronto area for people with any injuries or mobility issues. It is owned and operated by physiotherapist Patrick Mayne. Unlike traditional physiotherapy services which are usually provided either in hospitals or in busy physiotherapy clinics, Patrick brings professional physiotherapy services RIGHT TO YOU. Having provided home visits for a few years now, Patrick has realized that many people prefer home visits, as they enjoy the comfort and convenience of being treated in their own home. Patrick also really enjoys spending more quality time with patients and attending to their individual needs, something that is difficult to do in a busy clinic environment.

Patrick's focus is on providing patient centered care and providing evidence based therapy to help his patients achieve their goals. He believes in empowering his patients and helping them improve the quality of their lives, whether it's being able to get back walking, playing with the kids or grandkids, or getting back to your favorite sports, activities, or hobbies. Patrick uses hands on techniques that are comfortable and effective in combination with specific exercises to help get you back to enjoying your life.

People who may especially benefit from home visits include those recovering from a major injury or surgery (eg. Total joint replacement, acute low back pain, stroke), people recently discharged from the hospital, conditions where an injury/pain significantly limit mobility or for those who simply prefer the comfort and convenience of having a physiotherapist come to them!

Patrick Mayne has almost 10 years experience working as a registered physiotherapist and is currently registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and is also a member of both the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Associations. He is highly trained and qualified and holds a Master's degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Western Ontario (2008) and a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science specializing in Athletic Therapy from Concordia University (2006).

Patrick is very passionate about learning new techniques and innovative ways to help his patients and is constantly upgrading his skills. He has many other qualifications include Intermediate Level Manual Therapy designation from the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (CAMPT), Sports First Responder, Part A- McKenzie Method- Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. He also stays up to date on the latest research in the field by reading journal articles, with the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT) being his favorite.

Patrick has experience working in a variety of settings including hospitals, sports teams and clinics, including 5 years of experience working at Toronto's busiest sport clinic The Sports Medicine Specialists. He has experience working with injured workers, athletes, office workers, seniors and people of all ages and backgrounds. He understands what it's like to have a major injury, or a major surgery and knows what it takes to get better. Patrick has a special interest in helping baby-boomers and seniors recovering from major surgeries (like a knee or joint replacement, back or knee surgery) and those who are motivated to get back to their favorite activities or hobbies.

Outside of physiotherapy Patrick enjoys spending time with his family and living an active lifestyle. His latest hobby is enjoying life with his two little kids, Chloe and Jack. He also enjoys spending time at the cottage, cooking and eating great food, biking, hiking, camping, swimming, surfing, soccer, snowboarding, snowshoeing, travelling and basically anything outdoors and adventurous. He also enjoys relaxing by doing yoga, meditation and reading.
